More Walking, Diet and X Jump Hating!
I added more walking to my training program to have more exercising with low heart rates as was proposed in bicycle ergometer test. Now I try to walk three times a week 30-60 minutes before I start to run again. I hope it's also makes easier the 90 minutes running exercises I do during the weekends 'cause walking helps to keep my metabolism on higher level in between the long runs.
Diet goes very well. It's easier and easier to follow as far as I have learned the amount of the dishes by heart.
The only thing I hate at the moment is the aerobic sessions of my Nike+ Kinect Training program. The sessions are so hard and long nowadays. 12 drills which have to be done two rounds include 4 different drills of X jumps. Nice. Earlier the drills where I ran with high knees and jumped in between were killing me but now there are also drills where I should only do X jumps for 60 seconds included.

Registration to HCR and Training Program Update and New Diet
Today, I registered me and my husband to the next HCR 2015 half marathon which is next May. So now I have again target which I need to run forward. Then I updated my training program and diet again here.
I have successfully finished my GoJuttaGo meals in two days now. My diet didn't change a lot because I have already get used to vegetables and protein. Now there is only berries in the diet among the vegetables I eat next to a lunch and a dinner, so I may start to miss fruits soon. And because I've preferred morning eating my whole life and the big breakfast is not weird thing, I feel hungry before lunch. On the other hand in the evening it feels that I'm eating all the time and my stomach is full before the next food. And my head is so full of ideas at the moment how to variate the meals that I could cook all the time. And thus, I'm not very worried yet, that will I succeed with the new diet..

Silence, Chocolate, Exercising and Surviving
I've been lazy to update the blog lately. I just feel that there is nothing new going on in the project.
I'd love to have candy, and chocolate, and chips, and... And this feeling has been lasting now a week now. I think it's because I've been tired and on the other hand I haven't done very many hard exercises after the half marathon, which makes me to want candy. Still, I've been walking and running but only with the kids.
But I'm going to be again more active now on. I did fitness test today to create new training program (and could do 20 one leg squats with both sides!!!) and planned to do exercises with Nike+ Kinect Training twice a week and then 90 minutes running once a week. I forget the heart rate monitor and all the plans now until I begin to prepare for the challenges of next summer. But I've got good running condition during this year so now I want to keep it up that I don't have to start again from the beginning then. Other exercising I try to do with the kids.
I was alone last weekend with the three kids and I'm so happy how greatly we survived. Husband was visiting a friend. I don't even remember when we have been separated two nights with my husband, if hunting isn't counted. But usually I get help from my mum if husband is going for hunting but this time I tried to come along by myself. We spent lot of times outdoors and crafted some invitations to soon coming birthday party, which will also challenge my project with all the sweets and cakes.

Quick Start Training, Berries, and Some Cake
Today, it would have been time to end my training program by doing the fitness test but because my training program and fitness tests of this project are not in line anymore and I should do the fitness test and weigh-in again on Friday, I planned to postpone the training program ending till Friday and do a quick start training session of 30 minutes instead. I have tried the quick start sessions only once or twice before and I think previously it was only 5 or 15 minutes that I tried so it was a nice variation to usual sessions.
I planned to do some moderate level dumbell training and I think the game picked me some drills quite randomly. I ended up doing three or four different variations of planks, men's pushups more than once, squat with and without dumbbells and different kind of deadlifts. It was nice to try some drills that haven't been included in my program since I started in January and realise that it's peace of cake nowadays. For example, during one and a half lunges I got aha effect about the easiness of it. And it haven't been poorness of the game that all the repetitions haven't been counted earlier, but my poor technique I had due to missing muscles..
I've been also picking and freezing the strawberries of our garden lately. And today I went with the kids and my dad to pick up some blueberries to the forest nearhood. So it was time to freeze some blueberries also. And in the evening I tasted a peace of cheese cake today in a birthday party. Yum yum!

Calm Before The Storm
In the beginning of the week I felt I could reach the sky and I looked after to have courage to take extra rounds when exercising. It was calm before the storm, I guess. It needed only one very badly slept night and one double training with surprisingly long aerobic session and I had to admit that I need humbleness to proceed slowly towards my targets:
Yesterday I tried again double training as we were travelling today, and I didn't have time to exercise at all today. As my training program of Nike+ Kinect Training has changed now, I just started my aerobic session after the 30 minutes running and realized that the session had lengthen to over 40 minutes. So I ended up to exercise about 1.5 hours with all the warm ups and cool downs. Then we got visitors straight after the training and shower and I had to lay down to children's playroom floor not to faint. I needed a nap afterwards to feel again ok and to get power to pack for our journey.
I was afraid to have flu again as our baby is again in a light flu but last night was again better and I'm ok again. As I rest today I'm ready to have my long run this weekend in Kuopio or Leppävirta, where is lot of high hills ang great landscape. I'm exited to have my 'high level camp' here.

Midsummer Preparations
I have repaired myself to the Midsummer weekend by thinking next long run route for the Saturday and by making some pasta salad to eat it after that. Before I can relax a little bit I should do my weigh-in again tomorrow morning. Maybe I should run in the midnight 'cause there is sun shining the whole night now here in northern Finland. Without this chronic lack of sleep, I surely would..
After Tuesday's 5kms run, I have recovered myself by relaxing but today I went for pram run before I picked up the girls from the daycare to spend summer holiday and then I finalised a four week's training program again by doing the fitness test. It gave me 57 and 34 as a result this time. And again I was able to do men's pushups. Cool. I'll continue the trainings with Nike+ Kinect Training as before.

Long Run, Training Program and Hydration
Long Run And Training Program Continuation
Today I did my 90 minutes long run which was easiest one this far. I run a little bit over nine kilometres and I could keep the same pace from start to end. Cool! After the last exercise for four week's period, I updated the training program for the next period.
Hydration
I have started to think and try the hydration and energy drinks for the July's running event. Few weeks ago I started to run with the small water bottle and this week I have run with my water belt on and in addition, today I started to try the energy gel during the long run to get my body used to it before July. Due to hot weather we have had, I haven't been drinking enough and I should pay attention to water drinking also outside the exercises. And in addition five handfuls a day thinking continues, of course.

Aha Effects
Nike+ Kinect Training
I could continue my program with Nike+ Kinect Training without doing any extra fitness test. Maybe I'm finally learning to use the program properly. And I got so many new movements now that I'm again very excited to face the next training session on Thursday. I have new love-hate relationship with the drill where I have to go from blanks position to the pushup position and back..
Running
I did my first interval exercise this morning and I was able to run my half marathon pace without exceeding the heart rate limit of 160. This might mean that I could except better performance in my next half marathon in autumn. It's so enjoyable to run with higher pace after this snail style period I have had.
Next Event
Today I realized that there is only 60 days left before the next event, that quarter marathon I'm going to run in July. Maybe I should be more in panic already..

I Can Do Burpees!!
From the beginning my training program has included some drills of burpees which I haven't been able to do correctly. It has felt impossible to jump to the men's push-up position because I feel that I don't even have the muscles that are needed to do it. Earlier I have only stepped back from squat to the push-up position and then stepped back to squat. I decided to try jumping instead of stepping when I can do men's push-ups so after the latest fitness test I have tried jumping every time. At first I stepped back to the push-up position and then jump back but now I can do few repetitions correctly by jumping both directions. I'm so happy! These small things motivates me all the time try harder. And it is easy to see from these small details that I have proceed a lot after January.

Fitness Test & Home Training & Running
Today I did the fitness test to restart training program. I don't know how can I avoid doing the fitness test twice without losing the achievement of just ended training program. Does any of my followers know? I have to first finalise the program and then reset it and then do the fitness test another time as a start of the new program. This is the only problem that I hate about in Nike+ Kinect Training at the moment.
Last time I tried to straighten and I just restarted the new training program after all the training sessions but the game didn't register at all of my second training program to my achievements. I have now solved the problem that I replace the first training session of the program with the fitness test and 15 minutes quick start training but I cannot receive very good result of the test if I have just couple of days ago done my best in the test and muscles are still sore of that.
Today I got fitness score of 49 and athleticism score of 37. Then I did the 15 minutes aerobic session. I planned to run also today because tomorrow morning I'm going to visit a friend. I ran very slowly but heart rate was up because of all the effort I used in home training. Anyway, it was a good recovery exercise after the home training. My average HR was 140 this time and maximum HR was 162 this time.
The next training I'll do in Thursday and then it's time to run also. I should remember to stretch a bit before that. I have also collected my tips that I use to keep the speed low in running and blog posting about that is coming soon. Now it is time for shower and stretching.

Rain is coming
Rain will help?
I haven't exercised now for five days but it feels like forever. Baby swimming is the hardest exercise I have done lately. Luckily the weather forecast showed rainy days coming and hopefully it cleans up a bit the dusty air. There is pollen and traffic dust a lot in the air because it haven't rain for weeks now and I have so try throat that I keep coughing after spending time outdoors. I didn't know that dust has so bad affect on me nowadays. Anyway, I'll try running again on Saturday and home training carefully tomorrow before it is time to do the fitness test again.Diet
It is also time for weigh-in tomorrow and I hope the scale shows some nice numbers because I mend my diet after the one shocking day I had. I have remembered to eat my five handfuls now and I have drunk lot of water and I feel lighter again.Training program plans
I have been thinking now the continuation of the training program and next four weeks I'll add running training but only a bit. Now I have run every three days but next four weeks I'm planning to run three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. All the running training is done as slowly as before but Saturday is going to be the long run day and there I'm going to increase running part ten minutes every week from 30 to 60 minutes. A Break in Training
Time to rest again
I have waken up now couple of days without my voice. Even if I don't have any other symptoms of common cold and I have got my voice back quickly by drinking water I'm going to skip again the exercises I was planned to do in the beginning of this week. Basically it means that my double training day is cancelled and I'll try it again later. I still have spent a lot of time outside walking slowly with the kids so I'm not totally inactive even if I can't exercise.Project
Already week 12 have started and on Friday it is time for weigh-in #7 and fitness test #4. I have to check my condition and then plan how to exercise before the fitness test. I'm sure I'm fine then because there is no more than my throat problems. This week I have to plan also how I continue my trainings in next four weeks period.
Diet
Yesterday was the worst day of my Five Handfuls a Day project. I realised in the evening that I haven't eaten any correct handfuls. I have choose to eat lot of bread, pancakes and candy. Now I should do something about it. I have still three days to affect the result of the weigh-in so now I really need to eat lot of vegetables and drink more water. It is always awful to have flu in the middle of the hard exercising. It makes me to drool over unhealthy food if I don't exercise for couple of days.SportterflyPS. Double Training Days
I feel better already and tomorrow I'm going to do both muscle and running training. I'm doing muscle training every Tuesday and Friday now and I run every three days so this week the training sessions happen to be on the same day. Interesting to see how the muscle training before the running affects to the heart rate levels. It is effective to do all four sessions during two days and have five days when I don't need to exercise.
I have felt extremely tired today and during the weekend. I don't know is it because of summer time that changed the clocks or because of the medicine I took to allergy now. I have taken naps every day and before this weekend I have needed naps maybe hardly once a week. I have been suprised even myself how little I actually have needed sleep lately even if we have a little baby. And because I'm tired now I dream all the time some sweet or salty snacks, chocolate and candy mostly. Hard..

Doing Nothing?
After eight week trainings with Nike+ Kinect Training I have felt progress all the time. Now that I'm also running it feels like I'm not exercising enough even if last week I made five trainings all together, twice with Nike+ Kinect Training and three times by running. That is one training more in a week than any of the preceding eight weeks. And today I did the first training with Xbox for the week and there is still three sessions coming.
The basic running trainings have to be done so slowly that at the end it feels you could do another similar exercise right away. Preceding weeks I made all the exercises with so high tempo that this running training program feels now like I'm slacking off. Even if I know that this is the best way to do the running exercises now, I feel impatient to wait that I can see the progress in pace or in heart rate level.
Compared to the previous half marathon shape I have this 15kgs extra load now with me. I know I would get my knees hurting now if I ran any faster. Hopefully my pace increases when I get more weight off and if the muscle training helps..

This and That
Laziness?
I have felt that I'm lazy and don't exercise enough. Maybe I'm a bit afraid that I end up spending time as before, without exercising and eating whatever. But today I calculated that it was already ninth training session for this four weeks program even if I have been sick twice. And in addition I have walked with pram a lot and spent lot of time with the kids outdoors. Maybe I shouldn't blame myself for laziness so much?
Training session
Today I did the last aerobic session for a while and it was a hard one. Usually I have collected around 250 Nike Fuel but this time I managed to get 440! Wow! When I did the first aerobic sessions there was about 10 drills to do after the warm up, but this time I had to do 16. And in the beginning the drills lasted 30 seconds and now most of the drills are 45-60 seconds long. One negative thing to say was interruptions. Our baby has been crying a bit lately and he didn't sleep very well so I had to go again outside couple of times to calm him down that he continues the nap. So I couldn't concentrate as well as I wanted but when I saw the result, it wasn't that bad.
New Training Program
Tomorrow it's time for the last muscle training of the program and then I'll restart the program and do the fitness test. Next four weeks period includes also the running exercises, so I'm going to change my target to Get Strong for the next program and I'm going to train my muscles only twice a week then.
Eating
Today my lunch bar looked like this..

..After all, my diet has gone well after I have used the note paper to remind me. Maybe I try now live without marking the tallmarks but if I again start to eat as before I'll take this trick again in use. My next step is now to keep up the correct eating.
I'm excited to see what the scale says tomorrow, and the fitness test. Good Night!

When This Flu Goes Away??
No no no, no yet.. I didn't work out today. I feel that I'm not ready for hard exercise yet. Today I have rest but yesterday we had a long walk with my family and our guests in nice early spring weather. Snow is only missing, otherwise it is the best weather when sun is already warming up daytime. Our house is next to the popular running route of the Sunday runners and it is nice to notice that so many runners have already waken up from the winter sleep. I look at them so jealously from our window. I want to run soon too! I want this flu go away!
It is already week eight ongoing and I have fitness test again coming on Friday in addition to fourth weigh-in. I'm not expecting much this time of it because of the stomach flu I had and this flu and sniffles I have now. Being sick is now limited the training program too much. Anyway, later this week I'm going to publish my training and running program for the next four weeks period. If someone is dreaming of running a ten kilometres in July/August or half marathon in September, and don't have much experience of running, my program can be followed.
