Fittness Test Before Christmas

I finally had some time to do fitness test before we calm down for Christmas. Kids are for some reason quite hyperactive at the moment. They are too exited to wait Santa Claus visit. So I had some interruptions while running high knees. Then the kinect sensor needed calibration because I moved it due to living room cleaning and even if I had done it the sensor couldn't see my one leg raise at all. For these reasons my endurance and flexibility wasn't in the same level as before.

On the other hand, I could do 25 single leg squats with both legs, 10 men's push-ups and my balance score raised a lot. Still, I'm proceeding with the program even if it has been in a use for one year now.

Fitness Score was 57 this time and Athleticism Score is 51. And all points below.

Yesterday's Fitness Test Results

Here comes yesterday's fitness test results. No big change to the previous ones but part of the drills were better and then the others were worse than last time. For example, I could do only 4 men's push-ups and my best result is 10 and that's why my strength has worsen. On the other hand, my X-jump trainings have made me stronger and I could jump higher and increase the power from 34 to 44.

Fitness Score is now 63 and Athleticism Score is 47. And detailed points below.

Back to Normal Weight and 10 Men's Push-ups

I have again achieved my normal weight since I got weigh-in result of 72 kilogrammes today and my BMI is now under 25 which means normal weight.

In addition it was time to do fitness test and I could do 10 men's push-ups and 21 one leg squats with my both legs. I felt a bit tired before the test but I exceeded all my expectations and improved the result in most of the fields which have felt difficult lately. Fitness Score is now 64 and Athleticism Score is 46. And more detailed..

I have forgotten to mention earlier that I'm going to have bicycle ergometer test on Monday where I'm going to get feedback of my current condition and tips how and with which heart rate levels I should continue to exercise in future. I haven't tried it earlier but now there is equipment in the gym nearhood so I decided to try.

Weight and Fitness Status After 36 Weeks

Two kilogrammes off in two weeks again. And the secret is Five Handfuls a Day, 3 litres of water per day and protein counting. And I also made the fitness test again. Part of the results are worse than previously but I'm proud that part of me is getting better. My endurance score is going higher and higher which I'm so happy because it's already better than my husband's score. Hah!

99 High Knees and 13.5 Kilos Weight Loss

Fitness Test

Damn, I realised too late that I could have reached 100 steps in high knee running during the fitness test today. 99 steps in high knee running in 30 seconds is not a bad result and I'm so proud of it, even if affected to other drills of it, and I got worse result in endurance than four weeks ago. And it is my new record of the high knee running. The old record was 96, but still, 100 was so close.

This time and after 32 weeks I did already my ninth fitness test. It was easy to do with well rested muscles and in the end the result was surprisingly good, even if the exercising haven't been possible due the flu. My Fitness Score was 58 this time, which was 4 units better than previously but my Athleticism Score was 48, which was 5 units better. Again my athleticism score increased greatly. Weigh-in

This morning it was turn to weigh-in. This was 16. weigh-in after the initial one. Now my weight is going smoothly down and again the pace of 1 kilogramme in two weeks is found. After today's weigh-in my BMI is 25.4 and I have 1.5kgs left to my normal weight.

I have totally forgotten to reward myself after all the goals I have reached. I feel I haven't done that good because I haven't been able to keep my schedule even if I have burn 13.5 kilogrammes fat in about half year! But today I finally found new swimming suite (which looks like this) which I thought to buy as a birthday present to myself in July.

Fitness Test After 28 Weeks

This time and after 28 weeks, my Fitness Score was 54, which was a unit worse than previously but my Athleticism Score was 43, which was even 9 units better. Nice to have finally some change to my athleticism also. The more detailed results look like this now:

The Day of Weigh-in and Fitness Test

Today it was time to check my progress of my project again.

Weigh-in

Scale showed me the 78.0kgs, which is -0.5kgs in two weeks. I thought I would even had gained some weight due to the very hot weather and swelling I've got due to it. And my scale really hates the round number breaking again because it seems to be so hard again to achieve my 10 kilogrammes milestone.

And I guess due to the hot weather, my fitness test felt really weird today. Even if I felt I have power to do it well, and I shouldn't have excuses to fail, I didn't get any men's push-ups, for example. Result is unambitious: Fitness Score of 49 and Athleticism Score of 37. Actually the detailed results don't look that bad after all. Only the strength is significantly worse. But now that I have grieved the results this evening I really got angst to try my best in the next four weeks! Damn!

Six Men's Pushups!!!

I can do six men's pushups and 15 one leg squats with both sides!!! Even if the fitness test results didn't basically change this time, I can still feel improvement. The fitness score is now 50, which is a unit worse than four weeks ago and the athleticism score is now 34, which has stayed the same than previously. I had problems with the kinect sensor in the beginning so I had to move it a little bit that I don't hit furniture. That explains partly the worse results than last time.

Fitness Test & Home Training & Running

Today I did the fitness test to restart training program. I don't know how can I avoid doing the fitness test twice without losing the achievement of just ended training program. Does any of my followers know? I have to first finalise the program and then reset it and then do the fitness test another time as a start of the new program. This is the only problem that I hate about in Nike+ Kinect Training at the moment. 

Last time I tried to straighten and I just restarted the new training program after all the training sessions but the game didn't register at all of my second training program to my achievements. I have now solved the problem that I replace the first training session of the program with the fitness test and 15 minutes quick start training but I cannot receive very good result of the test if I have just couple of days ago done my best in the test and muscles are still sore of that.

Today I got fitness score of 49 and athleticism score of 37. Then I did the 15 minutes aerobic session. I planned to run also today because tomorrow morning I'm going to visit a friend. I ran very slowly but heart rate was up because of all the effort I used in home training. Anyway, it was a good recovery exercise after the home training. My average HR was 140 this time and maximum HR was 162 this time.

The next training I'll do in Thursday and then it's time to run also. I should remember to stretch a bit before that. I have also collected my tips that I use to keep the speed low in running and blog posting about that is coming soon. Now it is time for shower and stretching.

Snail Style Rules

Weigh-in

I get the result of 80.5 kilograms in the weigh-in this morning. This means that I managed again to lose a kilo in two weeks and I'm still half a kilo ahead of the schedule. I'm very happy with the result because I have had difficulties to focus on correct eating and I haven't been able to exercise as planned.

Fitness Test

My throat feels a bit stuffy still but I had to try exercising that I don't go mad. I did the fitness test and finalised my training program doing the last muscle training for this four weeks period. I was a bit concerned that how fitness test results will look like because I haven't done so many hard exercises lately but concentrated mainly on slow running. But obviously snail style of running rules. I felt that my endurance is so much better when I did the running with high knees. And I could better the score of the strength from 34 to 51 because I did record of the one leg squats and I could do three acceptable men's push ups. So now it is official that I'm able to do men's push ups that counts! Details of the different sections of the test is shown below (and earlier results in the brackets from newest to oldest). The fitness score is now 51, which means 31 units improvement from the beginning and 7 units in four weeks. The athleticism score is now 34, which is 1 unit better than four weeks ago and it has improved 8 units since I started.

Fitness Test Results

Today I did the final muscle training for this program. It was quit easy one. Obviously I have get more power because the common training sessions doesn't feel to killing me anymore. After that I could do the fitness test. And do you remember how I at first complained my muscles hurting many days after the test, and now I just did it! Afterwards I thought that maybe I should have pushed even more. Anyway, the result was very pleasurable for me, after all the sick days that I had along the way.

My fitness score improved from 40 to 44 and athleticism score from 28 to 33. Again I listed the result of different parts in the list below.

Some Training and Blueberry Pie

I didn't know that I should reset the training program in Nike+ Kinect Training to continue with another four weeks program, so I had to do the fitness test again today as a beginning of the new program. That's why I didn't yet started new training sessions but tried 15 minutes weight training session after the test. I think I got over 30 minutes training all together.

The fitness test gave me the fitness score of 39 and athleticism score of 27 this time. I felt still tired after the Fridays test so I think that a bit worse result was very realistic to have this time. Weight training was nice variation to the usual. There were only couple of movements where weights were needed but as a nice surprise I was able to do three men's push-ups which I couldn't do at all when the project started. These small improvements are so motivating and keep the training spirit up.

I have been so hardworking this week by removing all the snow and taking care of the kids while husband has mainly rested during and after the stomach flu that I baked a blueberry pie and made vanilla sauce with it. Pie with the coffee was also reward to my husband as he won the bet we had. Yum yum! I have also eaten candy and snacks during the weekend as a prize of a hard work done lately. Now I'm full of energy to face the new challenges this project requires in the coming weeks.

Tra La La La!!

Someone is here celebrating the fitness test outcome Yappa Dappa Doo!! Four weeks hard training culminated today in fitness test I made with Nike+ Kinect Training. The earlier result was shockingly poor. Fitness test gave fitness score of 20, only, and athleticism score of 26. More of the feelings of the previous test was written here.

I have to say that I lost the bet I made with husband. I have to go to bakery or start baking soon. The result of the fitness score was even better than 30, which was his guess. MY FITNESS SCORE IS 40 AND ATHLETICISM SCORE IS 28!!  Unbelievable! I'm sooo in good mood right now! I have just smiled the whole evening.

This time I wrote down also the more detailed results of the tests. Both scores includes three different parts. Fitness score consists of endurance, flexibility and strength and athleticism score consists of balance, power and speed/reaction/agility. My result for these parts were:

Starting of My First Blog Ever

I think I'm not the first one starting with the words 'I have always wanted to write my own blog..' Anyway, for about year now I have been thinking different topics I could write about. Now when I have less time than ever, three small kids keeping me busy, the inspiration to start with writing about losing weight came suddenly. Hopefully the energy to write doesn't disappear as fast.

During the latest pregnancy I got to very bad shape because I couldn't exercise for a while with terrible back problems. After the delivery I have been thinking good ways to lose weight and get back to the condition I was before the kids. Naturally I don't have lot of time so when I was almost on my way to the nearest gym to have personal trainer and own training program but suddenly had this idea instead. Because we already have XBOX 360 in our living room, why wouldn't I try some fitness game with that.

After doing a bit work with Google I get inspired with Nike+ Kinect Training. Why I got most interested in that was the possibility to do fitness test to follow up the progress of exercising. Also the 'personal training' sound good for me. I could decide how many days I want to exercise, which is my goal and the game designs me the program to achieve my goals.

A morning this week, I watched TV and they were talking about the first Wear your own wedding dress day in Finland. I realised I wouldn't be able to participate this weird event, even if I wanted. It is 22kgs since I've been to that dress last time. I have got over 30kgs with all my pregnancies, but with the first and second time I got rid of the kilos easily. This time it seems that I really need to work to get rid of the weight. Over ten kilos I lost without thinking of it but now the scale has shown the same numbers at least for a month now and while watching that morning show I really decided that next year I will fit to my wedding dress to try it on once again. (Don't be afraid, I wan'twear it publicly :-) ) As a nice coincidence, the mailman brought me the Nike+ Kinect Training at the same day.

Yesterday, I tried the game for the first time while the two oldest were at grandparent's and youngest one spending time in babysitter watching mum's weird movements. I couldn't remember how legs can start to hurt while exercising properly. I just couldn't finish all parts of the test and realised very well that I have lost my stomach and leg muscles completely. At the end I got fittness score of 20 (of 100) and athleticism score of 26 (of 100). The average score of ladies my age are 36 and 24, respectively. So at least the fittness score shocked me even if I know I'm not in good shape. Same time I felt that I have to start immediately to better the results. Less than two years ago I was in shape to run halfmaratons and now I couldn't finninsh running three 30 seconds spurts.

The game made me Get Toned program for four weeks now. I'm planning to exercise four times a week and in the middle do all kind of other activities with and without the kids. My goal is really get into good condition and old weight during the year 2014 and fit into old wedding dress 15th January 2015.

Even if I felt despered with my bad condition, I felt very energetic for the first time for long time. I couldn't remember it feels so good after the proper exercise. I couldn't stop using the game, and still can't wait to start my next training session, so I tried one 5 minutes training session before quiting. I was full of energy and new ideas the rest of the evening and started to plan creating of my own blog of this exercising process: My own getting into shape blog!

Summary:
Goal: 49 weeks I have left in 2014 I will lose half kilos per week. That makes my goal 24,5kgs weight lost at the end of this year and first milestone 2 kgs after four weeks training.

How to make it: With Nike+ Kinect Training at first and later in the spring also with my old hobby, jogging.

If I fit To my wedding dress 15. 1. 2015 I Should promise something nice to myself :-) I should start to think some motivation gifts to the end and as the milestones are successful.
